About Brittany Gambee
I learned from a young age to be a hard worker, to be responsible, and good leadership. I worked for ten years as a barn assistant at Steel Prize Stables, from the time I was twelve years of age. I have had a lot of experience taking care of pet fish and many different reptile species for over 19 years. Studying at the University of Alabama has given me opportunities to take hands on classes down at The Dauphin Island Sea Lab. I have gotten experience working with sharks, rays, aquatic invertebrates, shore birds, equipment used in Oceanography and Marine Geology, collecting specimens, dissections, population surveys and many other aspects involving aquatic life. I have also taken classes involving freshwater animals, ecosystems, and conservation. My goal is to become an aquarist at an aquarium or Zoo, such as the Tennessee Aquarium, or Georgia Aquarium.
