About Brittany Henricks

I have always been drawn to helping others work through difficult times in their lives. What began as a natural tendency developed into a vocation and a career through my training as a pastor and a therapist. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to integrate my studies of theology and psychology and believe that healing is found as we strengthen the intimacy and connectedness we experience in our relationships with God, ourselves, and others. I believe that we are created to thrive, and this happens when we have strong and secure relationships with ourselves and others. These relationships form the safe havens from which we can launch out and share ourselves and our gifts with the world, in whatever type of work or vocation we may pursue. Whether we are married, in a relationship with a partner or single, we all have close relationships which inform how we see ourselves, how much we can trust others, and which either help or hinder us in our journey towards our ability to flourish in our lives. I believe that growth can happen when the security and strength of our closest relationships is improved, and it is my joy to support my clients as they work to accomplish this. ​ While my Christian faith is an integral part of my identity as a therapist, I welcome the opportunity to work with people from all faith traditions. I hold advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and work from this empirically validated modality to understand relational conflict and to help individuals, couples and families create stronger emotional bonds in relationships with their loved ones. ​ I am married to my husband of more than a decade and together we share the responsibilities of raising our three children.
