About Brittany Mann

I am the holder of my BA in English from the University of NC at Greensboro. I am nearly finished with obtaining my MA in Library and Information Science from UNCG as well, where I hope to be able to work in Youth Services soon. I have the amazing opportunity of working at Jackson Libraries in an Academic librarian setting. Academic settings are proving to be great experience and I enjoy all of my patrons. Additionally, my Research Assistant opportunity allows me to engage with one of my greatest hobbies: data collection. So I am versed in different types of data collection. My passions are: data collection, youth services, community outreach, literacy enhancement, creating educational technology materials, teaching, diversity, equity, inclusion, and collection development. I am IRB certified and soon to have my Public Library Certification. I know how to use various editing software. My employers and coworkers often describe me as someone who is diligent, goes above and beyond, personable - a fan favorite among coworkers and patrons, a team player, works independently very well, strong willed, creative, resourceful, sympathetic, solution-driven, a master multitasker, stellar at crisis management, and incredibly detail oriented. I am fully passionate about everything that I do and everyone who I encounter.
