About Brittany Ockrant

Brittany More is an event-minded professional with an education and background that makes her the ultimate utility player. A veritable gold-glover and silver slugger, her tenacity and focus provide her the unique ability to manage the numbers and the business side of the industry, while her experience and vision allow creativity to flow naturally into her work. Brittany has crafted a destiny in the events industry by having completed her Bachelors of Business Administration at the University of Guelph and Diploma from Humber College. Then moving on to receive her Visual Merchandising Diploma (Honours) at Seneca College where she was awarded the gold award in the annual Redefining Design challenge. A post-graduate in Event Management Creative Design (formerly Event and Exhibit Design) also from Seneca, saw her finish first place in the annual Inspired Spaces competition and she would eventually become class valedictorian. Events are not an exact science but when the right mix of business savvy and creative chops come together, the formula is synthesized. Brittany’s role at Decor & More had her handle a number of critical stages of an event life cycle. From handling client inquiries in their infancy to designing and itemizing every element that will eventually make its way to a truck, Brittany was part co-ordinator, part sales exec, part client manager, and part designer. The ability to support and manage all of these many facets of the business made her a key member of the D&M team. During her time at D&M, Brittany also had the privilege of siting on the ILEA Toronto Chapter board for 1.5 terms in the education portfolio, assisting in creating educational events for the Toronto industry. Now as a member of the Seneca College, School of Fashion family, she hopes to give back to the programs that helped pave her way into this exciting field of event design.
