I fell in love with the medical field in 2014 when I decided to take the Medical Laboratory Assistant course. This initial step has helped me on my journey into nursing and brought me to where I am today. Throughout the years I’ve gained experience working in the laboratory, as a medical office assistant, and currently nursing in psychiatry. I love learning, and felt I have been very fortunate to gain experience in different levels of healthcare such as acute, tertiary and now rural community. I am currently working in a remote community which has provided me with intriguing opportunities and helped to enhance my understanding of health care. I am a strong advocate for mental health and am excited to continue building on my experiences.
