About Brittney Davis

As a Research Associate at the Center for Community Partnerships and Policy Solutions at The New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM), I collaborate with residents, community leaders, and decision-makers to identify and implement innovative policy solutions that promote health equity and address critical health issues of our time.With a master's degree in public health from Hofstra University and a bachelor's degree in molecular biology from Hampton University, I have developed an array of research, evaluation, and administrative skills that enable me to contribute to the center's mission and vision.I am passionate about Black Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and its impacts on disadvantaged populations, especially people of color (POC). I have participated in developing grant proposals, reports, and manuscripts that address MCH-related topics, such as breastfeeding, prenatal care, and infant mortality.Additionally, I have earned a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, enhancing my ability to work with diverse and inclusive teams and partners. I am fluent in English and Spanish and have extensive experience in outreach and liaison with various stakeholders.I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others and to advance the field of public health through evidence-based practice, policy, and research. I am always eager to learn new skills and knowledge and expand my professional network and collaborations.
