About Brittney Oakes

My passion for helping people started in high school where I grew to love educating young children at the Happy Hornet preschool program. It was then that I knew I wanted to pursue a career in helping to educate children. Upon graduating from the University of South Florida, my journey of helping children began. I quickly developed a love for special education and made a transition that would create lasting relationships with numerous families. My passion for helping children evolved into working with families. My financial advisor was the first one to ever ask me a very important question. What was important to me and my family? Together we built a relationship and a plan which gave me reassurance knowing my family was on track with what was important to us. It was that moment that I decided to transition to a career and help young families like my own. My husband and I have been natives of the Polk County area our entire lives. We have 4 children who are very active in youth sports and the agriculture community. I love volunteering with special education groups/projects and sponsoring them through leadership. On weekends you might find me at a cattle show with our brahma cattle. I am also a member of the American Legion where we work with local veterans and participate in community events to benefit veterans. I have coached recreational volleyball for the city of Haines City and been team mom for many baseball teams as well. I love helping families and children within the community. My most favorite activity is to participate in the local Angel Tree Christmas program. I have been active in the Christmas program for 10 years and plan to continue for as long as I can. Relationships are key, and in our view, meeting face to face or virtually builds strong relationships.
