About Britto Satheesh

My hunger and desire to succeed as an engineer remains at large despite achieving the PhD accolade at a very young age. After completing my MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace), I was given the opportunity to pursue my PhD in composite materials. I always excelled in gathering information through dedicated research and planning meticulous experiments, ever since my bachelor days at Nottingham University. PhD only affirmed those skills in R&D and enhanced my soft and technical skills. Right after my PhD, I landed my first ever job in Austria and had to leave Nottingham - the place I made myself my home for almost 9 long years. Life begins the moments it gets uncomfortable- A fresh challenge in a new environment and that’s exactly what I got with the Austrian job offer. Having to learn a new language in German, interacting with a diverse team of engineers, exploring the realms of Austrian nature and understanding Austrian culture, all the more made life tad bit difficult however, with my positive attitude I thrive and survive in such environments. I was never scared to explore other opportunities and as an engineer, I was always confident to do any task with no or little previous experience. My journey after Austria, takes me to United Arab emirates and was handed a task to open up a logistics business in Saudi Arabia and carry out full operations of the business. This was a welcome break from my usual R&D tasks and with burgeoning ambition to enter into either data scientist or consultancy position, I saw this as the ideal platform for my development. My positive attitude coupled with my inter-personal skills could certainly add value to any team. I believe for a young engineer with knowledge in engineering and in business world, could certainly manage expectations of a company with respect to its personal and professional ambitions.
