I moved to the United States in 2018 with no intention to stay here. My life was great in Mexico. I was just here getting Legal Status for my children. That should have taken eight months, and back to the great life! But nothing good comes easy. It took more than two years navigating the USCIS process to get the Permanent Residency, and when we finally got it, it did not make sense for us to go back "home."Do you see where I'm going with this?A happy coincidence took me to apply for an open position at the same Law Firm I've hired to take my children's case. I started as a receptionist, and being a lawyer in Mexico allowed me to quickly understand the ways of the American legal system, especially the Immigration system. It caught my eye because I understand firsthand how stressful it can be starting from zero, in a new country, and on top of that, feeling "illegal."After years of feeling lost, I found a new passion for helping people achieve the peace of mind that a green card can give you. So now I'm focused on learning about every way to start a new beginning in this country, either with a Family-based visa, with a work-based visa, or wherever option is available for our clients while being compassionate about their fears and worries and always being available for them because I know how important is to be in touch with the person handling your future.My next goal is to go back to school and take the bar. It's a BIG ONE! I know! But only as big as the opportunity it will give me to help more people in need.
