About Brock Blansett

Throughout my academic journey, I've immersed myself in the intricacies of mechanical systems, honing my skills in areas such as renewable energy and CAD design. I have also had the opportunity to study abroad with the Engineering in London program, which allowed me to see other cultures’ engineering and technology firsthand. As an intern at Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Spallation Neutron Source (SNS), I had the opportunity to delve into the forefront of neutron science and advanced materials research. Working within a dynamic team of researchers and engineers, I actively contributed to experiments aimed at understanding material properties at the atomic level. My hands-on involvement in data collection, analysis, CAD modeling, and collaboration with experts in various scientific disciplines enhanced my technical skills and deepened my appreciation for the interplay between theory and experimentation.
