As of October 2019 I have started a new role at Maori Television and have withdrawn from my postgraduate studies. My primary role is that of editing online articles, and my secondary role is to create digital and linear content as directed. I post my articles and videos here: https://bit.ly/38McXWt Here are some examples of my work. My aim to is to provide Māori perspectives on the current issues of our time. There is also a responsibility for us in Māori media to connect with and to other ‘indigenous’ peoples. We do what we can with what little we have. There is no one ‘Māori’ perspective. We are an incredibly diverse ethnicity. We are in multiple countries all over the world and the longer we stay in those countries, the more sub-cultures branch off from the whole. God willing, if I am able, I would connect with and to some of these sub-cultures. Aotearoa is now the Hawaiiki of the modern Māori.
