About Brooke Bailey

My passion is providing very young children with magical, exciting, emotionally resonant stories, and providing a safe and fun space for them to tell their own. I use Waldorf-inspired table-top puppets and oral storytelling to share with pre-literate children, and I find stories from all cultures and backgrounds, as well as making up my own. My goal is for children to tap into their own innate creativity and give them developmentally appropriate ways to let their stories be told. I make puppets with kids, help them dramatize their stories, provide space and props for their own dramatic play, work with parents in family story workshops, and go into classrooms as a guest teaching artist for Writers in the Schools. As children learn to write, I am there to help them stay connected to the joy of creativity.
