About Brooke Bechtold

I'm a believer in the power of stories to connect us, inspire us, and ultimately, change the world. I believe everyone has a story to tell, a unique "hum" – a low, steady vibration or murmur that comes from deep inside, guiding what they do, who they are - what drives them. It's what sets them apart, their honest distinctiveness. And as Founder, President, and Executive Producer of Humm Productions NFP, I'm passionate about helping people share those stories. We craft compelling narratives that highlight the positive impact of community organizations and the individuals driving change, showcasing the "hum" of communities building beautifully. This passion is balanced by my roles as a mom to two amazing kids and a loving dog-mom to three furry friends. Summers in Vermont with family are my recharge, and I love a good car trip (especially when it involves exploring new communities and their stories!) and I'm the communications and social director of our very close-knit neighborhood. My work also includes serving as VP of Social Enterprise Chicago and volunteering with the Cook County Commission for Social Innovation, further solidifying my commitment to social responsibility and community impact. From retirees to senior executives to countless local heroes, I've had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, learning the unique stories and grit that define their communities. This experience fuels my passion for storytelling and my role as Creator and Host of the Impactually Show. I'm always open to connecting with fellow changemakers and storytellers who believe, as I do, that through listening, collaboration, and the wisdom of many voices, we can create monumental change in how communities connect, learn, and positively impact each other.
