About Brooke Collard

I’m a proud Noongar film producer based in Western Australia, passionate about creating screen stories that center First Nations voices and perspectives. My work spans film, games, podcasting and the publishing industry. My passion lies in representing stories of those who are often unheard, which includes the LGBTQIA+ community. With a background in both production and cultural engagement, I bring a collaborative and First Nations community-minded approach to storytelling. I’m driven by the belief that First Nations stories deserve to be told on our own terms and shared with audiences across the world. My strengths lie in decolonising workplaces, and integrating ethical sustainability practices through a First Nations lens. Recent projects include Marlu Man, a short film that’s been selected for film festivals, and an upcoming VR project, Walbreninj, that expands on First Nations ways of seeing through immersive technology. I’m also focused on developing future works that connect traditional knowledge with innovative screen practices. I’m committed to strengthening opportunities for First Nations creatives and growing Western Australia’s screen industry. Through my producing work, I aim to build pathways that empower the next generation of storytellers while fostering partnerships that are First Nations centred and universally resonant.
