Manage and supervise Coconino County Health & Human Services office in Page, AZ that includes the following programs & services: Social services; AZ Health Zone Program; Tobacco & Chronic Disease Prevention; Women, Infants & Children’s (WIC); Health Start; Injury Prevention; Opioid Prevention Education; Environmental Health Services; Career Services; and Vital Records services. Manage and oversee budget and expenditures. Work experience in establishing, implementing & evaluating public health, health promotion & health education programs for the local community and at-risk populations. Provided assistance in the management of the ADHS Health Start Program and Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) grant. Served as the lead for the implementation of the grant best practice activity and efforts to provide evidenced-based practices to local schools & organizations to prevent diabetes among Navajo, Hopi and San Paiute communities. Facilitated strategic planning meetings, team building activities, & meetings to increase collaboration among partners.Provide workshops, trainings, conferences and presentations to stakeholders, public health organizations and other entities. Assisted in the development of two new fitness centers and one health education center. Facilitated collaboration with local, state, tribal, county and federal organization to improve community health through Community Health Improvement Planning (CHIP) meetings. Maintain and continue to enhance community business relationships with schools, local governments and organizations to improve health through direct services, policy development and community health advocacy. Strong background in diabetes prevention, health promotion, community advocacy, health policy and school health best practices. Other skills include strategic planning, program implementation, and evaluation. Skilled in social marketing, some graphic, and media services. Strengths in the public health, supervision, program management, diabetes prevention education, fitness instruction, team building skills, and capacity building.
