About Brooke Jones

Brooke is a dedicated professional with a background in justice studies, community development, and government administration. She launched her career with a Bachelor of Justice Studies at the University of Tasmania majoring in Human Rights & Social Justice and minoring in Criminology. During her undergraduate degree she received a scholarship to study at the University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal, focusing on women's empowerment and international relations. Co-founding and serving as co-president of The Justice Society, Brooke earned the esteemed Gold Award from the University Societies Council in 2018, highlighting her leadership skills. Seeking new challenges, Brooke relocated to the West Coast of Tasmania and pursued a Master of Teaching at The University of Tasmania while also serving as the Digitisation Project Officer at The West Coast Council. In her current role, Brooke is dedicated to transforming the council's digital ecosystem and championing excellence in change management and government administration. Recently enrolled in the Women in Leadership Australia course, Brooke is committed to enhancing her unique style of leadership that combines integrity, initiative and a commitment to excellence. Her leadership skills and adeptness to continual improvement are driving positive change in her community.
