About Brooke Mazyn

People are my passion—learning how they are wired, what appeals to them, and what ultimately instills a desire, curiosity, or sense of purpose within them. In the last two years, I have gained experience pursuing this passion through marketing in the justice sector for a nonprofit, Advocates for Community Transformation. Developing relationships with people via portfolio management, social media content creation and management, graphic design, copywriting, collateral creation, email marketing, and more have been beneficial skills I have developed and look forward to growing in and refining. After graduating with a B.S. of Psychology with a minor in Counseling, I have worked alongside a development team where I have learned valuable information about communication, courageous collaboration, mutual respect, relationship stewardship with partners, timely project management and fulfillment, and the grit it takes to rise to challenges I may encounter. Formative trainings on Salesforce, Excel, MailChimp, Canva, Later, Adobe, and more have oriented me on how much there is to learn and how exciting it is to implement technology software into marketing and communications. The heartbeat behind each caption written, graphic designed, and relationship fostered is the desire to daily become enlightened to how humanity operates. Through my life, creative writing, methodical research, developing a love for scientific research, learning new avenues and interests, and paving a path towards a people-oriented career have been constant themes. One of my favorite things is learning how to be passionate about what I never thought I would be passionate about—it is my goal to pursue an avenue where I can ultimately press into new passions and positions while equally offering my unique skillset and giftings to create a mutually beneficial outcome. In this season of life, I am approaching the pursuit of a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health Counseling in the near future. I am craving experience that equips me in the realm of client care, wellness, healing, research, and other aspects of healthcare that will provide invaluable preparation towards a career in Psychology.
