About Brooke Sauer

After obtaining my Bachelor of Environmental Science & Management degree, I found my way into a career as a Planner. I began my career in Local Government working at Singleton Council as a Development Planner within the Planning and Regulatory Services Department. During my time with Council, I received an award in recognition of customer feedback, with the customer stating “Brooke is the most responsive planner of all Council’s I’ve dealt with” – Aurecon Group – NBN Project. Since commencing employment with ADW Johnson, I have been involved in a number of projects including rezonings, medium scale subdivisions, commercial and residential ventures, resource recovery facilities and quarries across NSW – with a strong focus on development within the Central Coast and Sydney. My educational background and previous experience within the environmental sector has provided me with an understanding that most other planners do not possess. I have been described by my colleagues and clients as providing outstanding customer service, possessing excellent communication skills and as having high attention to detail. These traits ensure projects involving multiple disciplines, consultants and authorities are run smoothly, meet deadlines/targets and gain approval. As a Development Assessment Planner, I have assessed projects ranging from minor proposals such as dual occupancies and changes of use, through to rezonings, medium scale subdivisions, residential flat buildings, drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities, service stations and resource recovery facilities (including designated and state significant development); coordinating all processes and dealing with a variety of clients, consultants and Authorities. As an Environmental Assessment Planner, I have been involved in small to large scale residential water and sewer infrastructure projects and intersection upgrades; ensuring environmental security ensues for all sites and surrounding communities through recommending appropriate and achievable mitigation methods.
