About Brooks Hammet

I grew up working for my families real estate development company E-coast. The opportunity provided me with a unique perspective into the world of business. I began attending meetings with professionals from all corners of the business world including architects, bankers, accountants, attorneys, and real estate agents. Over the years I have acquired many diverse skills from Financial Statement Analysis to Web Design. I attended college with the initial plan of furthering my Information Technology education, but after two years I was drawn back to the world of business. I graduated with a 3.75 GPA in Real Estate Finance from the University of North Florida. I returned to work with my families company for another year. However, the Real Estate Crash that began in 2006 forced me to reevaluate my plans and look beyond the family business. I have spent my time since then traveling the world with my wife, which included 5 months teaching English at a high school in Thailand. This transition of perspective allowed me to greatly improve my communication skills and ability to work in a group environment. I have returned to my home town of Destin, FL where I wish to operate several small businesses within the Restaurant, Real Estate, and Finance industries.
