About Bruce Anglin

S T U D I O 4 5 1 B u r n T h e B o x Since I was a kid, drawing, artwork and crafts have been a hobby and a pastime for me. And I was always good at it. Just in high school alone I have several accomplishments that could be considered ahead of the curve. In 8th grade I won the school sports banquet program cover contest. Throughout my tenure at Wyomissing Area Jr/Sr High School I did drawings and designs for t-shirts, banners, posters, flyers, and even tattoos for some of the students. I sold to art class projects. One was a painting of a yo-yo which was sold to and hung in the school library. Another was a self portrait with different textures that I sold to my 11th and 12th grade English teacher, Mr. Flannery. One Fall day in 2009, I decided to visit my former, and favorite, high school teacher, Mr. Flannery. When I walked in he was surprised to see me. It was a bit out of the blue. We began catching up. We talked about my interruptions in class, his patients and understanding on how to deal with me and explained how and why I got away with so much. And when I thought it wasn't possible to gain any more respect than I already had for him, I did after that. Then, he finally popped the question."What are you doing with yourself these days, Bruce?" He asked To which I replied,"I'm doing landscaping" He looked at me with a puzzled gaze and said,"Huh, I thought you'd be doing something with your artwork." Then he pointed out the portrait that he purchased from me over 10 years ago, still sitting atop the cabinets that lined the classroom. During the ride home, I took the opportunity to think good and hard about my life's direction and decided that it was time for a change. I enrolled myself at ITT Tech and began my career where it should have started in the first place. Where I Belong, In Graphic Design.
