About Bruce Barr

First of all, I’m a storyteller. I help other people to tell their stories through video. When I can pull the drama out of the person I’m filming, when I can make the viewer cry, that’s when I’ve done my job. I want to make that deep, emotional, interpersonal connection. That’s what people are going to remember. That’s what I strive for with every video I produce. Secondly, I’m nosey. I want to know what makes people tick. Why do they do what they do? What’s their passion? What’s their motivation? What, other than a cup of coffee, gets them out of bed in the morning? When I can help people to communicate their passion, the battle is nearly over. That’s what people want. It’s their story. It’s what their customers buy. I help them tell it. Third, I’m innovative. I like to find niches that haven’t yet been exploited. A little over a year ago I saw a blog from LinkedIn that they were going to make it easier to put video on their profile. It clicked. I bought the domain LinkedInProfileVideos.com and have been producing these videos ever since. I have endorsements from Mike O’Neil and Lori Ruff, two of the top LinkedIn experts in the country. I’ve also come up with another innovation, vlogot.com, which is video blogging for professionals. Basically, I make them look good and help them get engaging, dynamic content on their site with very little work. Finally, I’m a connector. I love to help people find connections that will build their business. One of my favorite things to do is to find power partners for people that they hadn’t even thought of. When I’m talking to someone in a one to one meeting, I’m rarely thinking about selling my services, but who I can connect them with.
