Bruce Bessette is a nationally recognized aviation expert with over 45 years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, accident investigation, and FAA regulatory oversight. He is a retired FAA Aviation Safety Inspector with current FAA credentials including A&P with IA, a Boeing 737 type rating, and commercial pilot certificates for single-engine, multi-engine, and glider aircraft. Bruce has served as Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) on more than 100 aircraft accident investigations involving both general aviation and air carrier operations. His extensive regulatory knowledge includes FAR Parts 21, 43, 91, 121, 135, and 145, and he has conducted certification and surveillance for over 60 repair stations and 20 air carriers. As a certified FAA Academy instructor, he has trained FAA inspectors in compliance enforcement, unapproved parts investigations, and maintenance surveillance programs. In industry roles, Bruce has led maintenance, inspection, and quality programs for Honeywell, Boeing, Southwest Airlines, and several Part 145 and Part 91 operations. His background includes hot-section engine inspections, borescope evaluations, NDT, avionics systems, and STC development. He is available for expert witness services, legal consulting, and technical investigations involving maintenance errors, unapproved parts, regulatory compliance, and system failures.
