About Bruce Cryer

I love coaching and mentoring leaders, executives and entrepreneurs to awaken their innate creative capacities and bring them fully to life for greater business success and personal well-being. For more than 35 years I’ve been involved creating programs, products and services that can change the world by transforming health and well-being and fostering healthy sustainable workplaces. I was one of the original directors of HeartMath and later CEO of HeartMath LLC. I have worked with leaders at Stanford Business School, Mayo Clinic, Kaiser, Duke Health System, World Bank, the UK's NHS, Cathay Pacific Airways, Unilever, Shell, BP, HP, NASA, and many small businesses and NGOs. I was named one of the top 50 Thought Leaders in Personal Excellence by Leadership Excellence magazine. I joined the faculty of the Stanford Executive Program in 1997 and later wrote a landmark article on executive well-being, stress and performance for the Harvard Business Review in 2003 which was republished in 2015. I co-authored From Chaos to Coherence: The Power to Change Performance, with HeartMath founder Doc Childre. I am a frequent keynote speaker and guest on podcasts and media programs for my insights on coherence, well-being, vitality, creativity and anti-aging. In late 2009, a series of major health challenges began. Now 13 years cancer-free, healthy and youthful again, I’m enjoying the highest level of fitness I’ve known in more than 25 years. I help organizations and leaders find inspiration, vitality, and passion to create sustainable success and fulfillment without sacrificing health and well-being. I have a particular focus in health care not only because of a deep background consulting to health care organizations, but also because of my own health journey and the thriving life I've been able to create post-surgeries. I bring a creative, fun and entertaining style to all I do while also helping people find depth and meaning in their lives and in their work. In the 70s I performed more than 800 performances of "The Fantasticks"​, the world's longest running musical. In 2017 I founded Renaissance Human to celebrate and empower human creativity. My first album was released Spring 2018 with launch events in NYC and San Francisco. I deliver engaging musical keynotes around Creativity and Innovation.
