About Bruce Dall

Since retiring after a long career in Kalamazoo, MI as an orthopedic spine surgeon, I moved into the position of Associate Clinical Professor Emeritus at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine. I have remained professionally active by publishing and/or editing journal articles, a text book for surgeons, and two books for lay people on surgery for the painful dysfunctional sacroiliac joint. These are all non-proprietary, and are meant to educate both surgeons and patients on the benefits of understanding that the sacroiliac joint can be the cause of low back pain up to 30% of the time. I emphasize that it frequently requires chronic pain sufferers to advocate for themselves in order to obtain an accurate diagnosis followed by appropriate treatments. All three books are on Amazon with a digital version on iBook. I was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society the Sacroiliac Joint Medical Education Group (SIMEG), centered in Germany, for my career of work with and advocacy for patients suffering from chronic sacroiliac joint pain.
