About Bruce Dust

A systematic thinker, I proficiently merge business and legal acumen with data to reduce costs associated with workers' compensation claims, short and long term disabilities, and absenteeism. Using my ability to convey complex technical concepts to senior business and leadership, I was able to implement plans and procedures that reduced WSIB Firm billings by ~20% in two operations-oriented ministries, working collaboratively with bargaining agents. Having presented cases before courts and tribunals and using my extensive contract/collective agreement interpretation skills, I incorporate up to date jurisprudence into my proactive disability/attendance management interventions resulting in solutions that withstand court or tribunal scrutiny. For the past 15+ years I have used my love of reading collective agreements, statutes, and contracts to focus on my passion: labour/employment and administrative law. I have an integrative dispute resolution style and have represented workers, unions, and employers in labour relations, workers' compensation, and disability/attendance management.
