Bruce E Smith – Biography From the beginning of his career, Mr. Smith’s looked upon every challenge with great enthusiasm while searching for creative, intuitive and achievable solutions, …beyond expectations! Upon completing studies in Landscape Architecture at Ryerson Polytechincial Institute, in Toronto, Mr. Smith enrolled in the Visual Communications and Photography program at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. After three years in the workforce as a Graphic Designer, he opened his own firm. It soon grew from a graphic design studio to include designing and marketing trade show exhibits, special projects and architecture signage. In 1989, Mr. Smith accepted a position as a Project Manager in the national capital, designing and managing museum exhibits, corporate projects, and national trade show programs. Over the years, his thirst for greater challenges lead him to design and manage unique projects across North America, while touching on Europe, for such companies as Apple Computers, Formula 1 British American Racing, ESPN, Blockbuster Video, American Film Institute, CIBC and FTTH, as well as countless projects for the Government of Canada. In 2006, Mr. Smith returned to Nova Scotia bringing over 28 years of professional expertise with him. Upon his return he was elected to the Board of Directors of the East Coast Blues Society and later served as their Chairman. In 2007 he established the Great Atlantic Blues & Beyond Festival. In 2008, with like-minded individuals, he established the Great Eastern Cultural Society. Mr. Smith also created the only live locally produced Blues radio program in Halifax and serves as its producer and host. Specialties: Project Management, Marketing Communications & Graphic Design
