About Bruce Gau

After a fulfilling career as a dealmaker and a line manager in the Financial and Telecoms space, I am following my passion for imparting education that has built up over the years as I have experienced the value of people development. It has been my experience that African companies have two choices when it comes to providing staff with world class training namely: Send staff to training institutions in Europe, the USA, etc. Bring trainers from these institutions to Africa. The former is valuable but inefficient. The high cost and the associated logistics limits the number of people that the companies could afford to send. The latter has proved to be inflexible and expensive because of the travel and accommodation costs, Covid/Malaria restrictions or safety and security issues. The Covid pandemic has resulted in the discovery of the benefits of becoming 'virtual'. This has been embraced by the training industry. It has adapted from classroom type training to virtual training thereby bringing world-class training to people all over the world at a time and place that suits them. Having worked with many African companies, I concluded that; Employees in big organisations have a desire and need to be enabled to manage their personal development and professional growth better. I believe that there is a great need for personal development skills like assertiveness, negotiation, performance & conflict management, customer relationship management, etc. I am excited to represent Preferred Training Networks, we specialise in the provision of training programs that fill this gap and to market their programs in Africa, the Middle East and Europe, with my initial focus being on Africa.
