About Bruce Howell
While I formerly enjoyed a career in retail banking, when I experienced vision loss myself, I transitioned into advocacy for persons who are blind or visually impaired; helping them hone their skills and acquire employment. My focus has been in the area of web and mobile application accessibility. Currently, I am serving as a member of the Board of Directors at The Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, MA. Additionally, after experiencing firsthand the challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's Disease, I have recently co-authored a book about supporting anyone who is a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. The book is called "Alzheimer's Caregiving with Love, Laughter and a Plan," and is now available in paperback format on Amazon.
