About Bruce Link

Experienced Electrical Engineer/designer with a demonstrated history of working in the utilities industry. Strong engineering professional skilled in automation and human machine interfacing and hydroelectric generation. I bring a focus on improving efficiency in all my work by applying automation technologies to all design activities. Technical lead for $2M+ automation refurbishment projects including PLC hardware and software design. Managing the technical delivery aspects from initial schematic design through to commissioning. Including bespoke software to meet mission critical business needs. I constantly focus on building tools and techniques to maximize efficiency in all my work, be it through developing software tools, delegation, or elimination of non-value-added work. I am the principal author of the PythonAutomationFramework (https://github.com/BruceJL/PythonAutomationFramework), which aims to be an extensible open-source framework to streamline design and minimize the cost process automation projects. I also highly value and constantly refine my written and oral communication skills. I take steps to engage people on a face-to-face basis to resolve problems with mutually beneficial solutions.
