I am committed to using alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation to help people resolve divorce and family law issues because I want clients to find happiness and peace in life and avoid the horrors and financial devastation that litigation creates. There is no substitute for having peace in your life and the lives of your children and family. I provide a neutral, non-adversarial, and non-litigious setting for mediation. I have been chosen by colleagues and appointed by judges to serve as mediator, arbitrator, Guardian Ad Litem for minor children, and Parenting Coordinator. My practice is now 100% focused on peacemaking and out-of-court resolution for families in transition including divorcing couples, those already divorced who are having post-divorce disputes, parents who were never married having custody, parenting time, and child support issues, and any others involved in family disputes such as grandparent visitation rights. Representing clients through out-of-court negotiation and advocacy is is focused on helping my clients reach a fair and equitable settlement by taking the time necessary to educate them on the law, explaining the range of possible resolutions of issues, explaining the likely best and worst case scenarios, and allowing my clients to make informed, rational and reasonable decisions. I strive to strike a healthy balance between effective negotiation and strong advocacy. With almost 35 years of experience as a divorce and family law litigator and mediator, and being a divorced father myself, I understand the emotional dynamics of divorce and all family law issues. My ability to effectively communicate with clients, TRULY LISTEN to, empathize, guide them, and represent their interests zealously, has earned me the respect and admiration of judges, colleagues, and clients, and the gratitude of former clients.
