This allows me to assist founders and managers in seeing the big picture, addressing and resolving complex issues, and making the most of growth opportunities. Entrepreneurial curiosity, problem-solving ability, and being a communication enabler between different teams within a business, are the traits that give me a unique ability to grow a business from its early stages. I have broad and substantial experience in startups, capital raising, securing government grants and R&D tax incentives, GDPR and other data privacy regulations, accounting/finance and administration, providing boardroom leadership, employing people, implementing employee share schemes, growing offshore, and implementing systems and processes across multiple jurisdictions. My PhD thesis years gave me a systematic, detailed, and pragmatic approach to business and projects, along with interpersonal skills and collaboration, which has been built on since. With startups, especially those seeking outside investment, governance, compliance, and having the right contracts in place are paramount. I am always on the lookout for risks, which need to be either embraced or mitigated - depending on the circumstances. I am constantly looking for new challenges where I can add value.
