About Bruce Mitchell

In over 20 years of Senior IT Leadership and Management I was involved in a full spectrum responsibilities, technologies, and environments. My wide ranging experience includes building a small entrepreneurial company’s IT as it grew sixfold in five years, serving as the team manager of a corporate ERP technology deployment in a large company, and architecting and managing the corporate IT infrastructure for a mid-size corporation as it grew from $400M to $2.4B. A strong understanding of business and financial processes combined with excellent technical knowledge has enabled me to make IT a significant contributor to companies’ success. I have been an effective leader in a variety of business environments by building strong relationships with business leadership, understanding the needs of the business, and delivering cost effective solutions. I build and lead highly effective teams with an emphasis on diversity, motivation and growth. Facilitative and negotiating skills enable me to deliver value added, cost effective, solutions to an enterprise. Vendors know me as an exacting, but fair, business partner. Among my strengths are infrastructure architecture and services, process analysis, datacenter operations, security, governance, outsourcer management, and contract negotiation. I have experience in healthcare, defense, manufacturing and consumer products businesses. The challenge of designing, building and managing IT processes and organizations to provide business solutions was my career motivator. I am now evaluating options to utilize my skills and interests.
