About Bruce Polnicky

Bruce is a values-driven change leader and team builder. Over 25 years combined commercial project and program management, heavy rail construction, transit operations, account management, contracting, engineering, and strategic asset planning experience. Bruce began the latest exciting chapter of his professional career leading operational startup, asset planning and construction project management functions in public transit with Sound Transit, the region's rapidly expanding public transit system. Previously, he served with Fortune 500 company CBRE Inc. as a proven leader of a 20 member team of construction project management professionals across three business lines for corporate tech campus locations across the U.S. and Canada. His team delivered world class service providing commercial building tenant improvements for one of the world's largest corporate portfolios. He launched his career with a degree in Civil Engineering at BNSF Railway where he managed a five state territory in construction, bridge and facility maintenance, infrastructure reliability and provided leadership for more than 140 employees. Heavy rail industry experience includes infrastructure capital and maintenance planning, workload planning, construction, engineering, permitting, and third party negotiations. Personally accountable for all bridges, buildings, fueling and tunnel ventilation facilities for 15% of railway company network. Managed over $24M budget annually on high tonnage lines. Developed and implemented strategy for multi-year slope stabilization, roadbed, drainage and risk mitigation programs. Bruce has proven success adapting to diverse needs across diverse industries and corporate cultures, develops employees, promotes diversity with real results and leads cross-functional teams with integrity.
