About Bruce Thomas

My Internal Medicine training was at the University of Virginia Hospital, 1971-73 and 1975-76, followed by a combined fellowship in Nephrology & Rheumatology at UVa, 1976-77. I am Board Certified by the ABIM with Advanced Acheivement in Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, and Nephrology, and continue with Maintenance of Certificate(MOC) requirements. I began my practice of Internal Medicine in Huntingdon, PA in 1977 and continued this practice for 35 years, the last 2 years with Geisinger Health System in Huntingdon. Since 2012, I have worked as a part time Hospitalist at numerous hospitals in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Idaho, and Tennessee. I also provide Employee Health services to Homewood Homes in Martinsburg, PA. I have had in depth experience in Association leadership and management at the state and national levels. I have been a partnership manager of a four physician group in Huntingdon. I have managed Physician Office Laboratories since 1978, founded the Pennsylvania Association of Lab Directors(PALD), and served as Chaiman of the Medical Laboratory Evaluation Program(MLE).
