About Bruna Accurso

I came to Australia from Brazil with a simple goal: to learn English and grow professionally. Little did I know that this journey would lead me to discover my true passion—inclusive sports, coaching, and supporting people to reach their potential. With a Marketing and Event Management background, my career took a fulfilling turn when I started working as a disability support worker. This introduced me to Boccia, a sport that fosters inclusion and transforms lives. My connection to Boccia grew, leading me to coaching and athlete development. Teaching and training have always been part of who I am. Growing up, I would help my mum as a teacher, which sparked my love for learning and sharing knowledge. Today, as a Talent Development Coach at Boccia Australia, I am privileged to work in creating inclusive environments, designing development programs, and supporting athletes to achieve their goals. I am excited to continue growing through the AIS Gen32 Program (2025–2026), where I will refine my skills to better support athletes and promote inclusive sport. I am passionate about creating positive, inclusive environments that empower individuals to thrive. Whether on the Boccia court, organising development programs, or working behind the scenes, my focus remains on supporting people, fostering inclusion, and promoting growth through sport.
