About Bruno Castro

Specialist in Information Security Management and Information Technology Governance, graduated in Information Systems Technologist, and currently doing Master's Degree in Informatics at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Worked as temporary officer in Brazilian Army and now working on a project at Institute of Applied Economic Research. Main topics of interest are Data Science and Semantic Web. My academic research is focused on analyzing methods and techniques to enrich tags of datasets from Open Data Portals. As part of my research I have been exploring the following themes- Data Science and Data Mining for knowledge extraction- Semantic Web, Linked Open-Data, Data Triplified, SPARQL query- Ontologies and terminological mechanisms (e.g. thesaurus)- Programming languages (R and Python) for statistical analysis and data visualisation- PostgreSql and MongoDB for data access and querying.
