Automation Engineer with 17-year field experience - Electrical Systems Automation Postgraduate - CCNA - Oil & Gas Processing Postgraduate - Chemical EngineerWith over 15 years of experience in process automation systems, I have become a specialist in control logic design, implementation, comissioning and online troubleshooting, while continuously expanding my skills in related fields such as electronic hardware, instrumentation, industrial networks, electric power systems and IIoT.I have participated in many complex automation projects involving DCS systems substitution and upgrades, automation design and startup of new industrial plants, processing units expansion and safety and reliability analysis for existing plants. Some plants I worked on have over instruments, and I have designed control strategies associated with complex equipments such as steam generators, furnaces and compressors.Beyond startups, I assist in optimizing plant operation through quality HMI design and adaptation, focusing on best operability and user-friendliness. I also have extended experience on alarm management systems, enhancing process safety; regulatory process control, contributing to process stability through control tuning; and advanced process control, for maximizing output and efficiency.With the evolution of cybersecurity, I have worked in many security-related projects in the industrial automation field. These include industrial networks design, switches and routers interconnection and configuration, SCADA / automation equipment communication and monitoring, server virtualization, IT domain and network policy structuring and hardening.As the Oil & Gas industry adapts to new market conditions, the size of automation teams has reduced over the latest years. I have taken over more responsibilities, and this greatly boosted my creativity for solving different problems in an optimized manner; increased the need for knowledge sharing within my team; and generated a passion for learning new topics and technologies, always in pursue of the best options for the company.
