About Bruno Sousa

Mechanical engineer on a mission to make the world a greener place. From the degree, I took a lot of knowledge, experience with projects and also a pragmatic and focused mindset for solving problems, efficiency and deadlines, which makes it easier for me to adapt to new scenarios inside and outside my comfort zone. During the same, I developed three academic projects, in the area of ​​air treatment of a sauna automatically. The rest of them were in the machining and automation of parts with required commercial and production parameters predetermined. I am currently the team leader of the Spark Agency team of ambassadors at ISEP, in which we work together to spread information about Spark events at our institution, we support other studies with questions relating to applying for a job, from the making of a CV to finding and linking possible employers to them by various means. In addition, I support Spark events as staff (Pitch Bootcamps, eg.), and support/guide my team in carrying out Spark missions as well as our internal ISEP missions. Along with this project, I am a member of the founding team and current president of Ascendium, an IJ, in a development stage, also at the Institute, in which our mission is to leverage the resources of our fellow students when carrying out real high-quality projects for real clients. Between July and August the opportunity to do an internship at PAVnext where I have developed a project in the field of sustainable energy and road safety, working a little in the various areas that were related to the development of the said project, working on the machining of parts and structures at the workshop, developed Excel books to support decision making, made product improvements at design, assembly and efficiency levels, among others. I love sports, and at a federated level, I played 3 years handball at EVS. I also love to travel and visit new places, where I can get to know new cultures, ideologies and people, and I also have a huge interest in learning new things, taking advantage of this time to learn Italian in a self-taught way. All these experiences allow me to reach different contexts and people that allow me to develop a sense of responsibility, proactivity, problem solving, resilience and teamwork to work in contexts of greater pressure without compromising on deadlines and quality.
