About Bryan Alexander

Bryan Alexander has extensive drafting knowledge and experience ranging from manual drafting to the use of AutoCAD and BIM. Bryan is a prolific CAD specialist and produces construction documents for structural, architectural, and civil disciplines making him one of the most diverse and talented drafters. His flexibility allows him to manage projects and direct CAD operations. Bryan attributes his foundation of drafting knowledge to his studies at Contra Costa College and the completion of a Career Development Center/Regional Occupational Program. Bryan started his career at Interactive Resources and worked as a structural drafter in the engineering division. Using CAD as well as drafting manually, he was able to produce wood frame, steel frame, and concrete structures for a tech center and a seismic retrofit and Upgrade. Bryan then moved on and applied his drafting skills at ESE Consulting Engineers, a company that assisted with Arup International and Stone Marraccini Patterson Architects in producing structural construction documents for a hospital and a special testing lab. During this period, Bryan was able to develop as a CAD Manager. After the brief experience, Bryan then returned to Interactive Resources to produce architectural construction documents and apply his CAD Manager duties for the company. In addition, he expanded his role, under mentorship, as a project manager for select roofing projects. From there, Bryan signed on with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) in the San Francisco Bay Area as a BIM Technican to generate construction documents for the Structural and Building Technology departments - using AutoCAD and, Revit on occasion. In addition, Bryan was part of the QA/QC process in producing professional construction documents. Currently, Bryan is with Jax Kneppers Associates as an Architectural Associate, producing architectural construction documents using Revit and Bluebeam. Past experiences allows for the production of structural drawings as well coordinating between the two disciplines.
