As a Financial Analyst at the City of Denton, I perform financial analysis, reporting, and tracking on various revenue sources for the city, such as sales tax, fees, and grants. I also contribute to the development and compilation of the annual city budget books, and monitor the financial systems for accuracy and efficiency throughout the fiscal year. I have a passion for finance and technology, especially cybersecurity. I pursuing to take the CompTIA Security + certification exam, and I am always eager to learn new skills and tools in this domain. I have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University and a work in progress master's degree from Tarleton State University. I have also gained valuable experience in treasury investment analysis, operations management, and peer coaching in my previous roles. My goal is to pursue a career in cybersecurity, where I can apply my analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills to protect and enhance the security of data and systems. I am looking for a job opportunity that will challenge me, inspire me, and allow me to grow as a professional and as a person.
