About Bryan Balog

I am a graduate from Rowan University with a bachelors degree in environmental studies and a land use and planning minor. My experience lies in the fields of environmental remediation and surveying as a former project engineer for Remedial Construction Services (RECON) in the North-East division doing project engineer related tasks (GPS, administrative tasks, QA/QC, drawing management / drafting, and providing field support) during the excavation of MGP impacted soils utilizing shoring systems and slot-cutting / slurry-backfill methods. My previous jobs within the environmental industry included work on a large scale NPL Superfund site in Newcastle, DE (as well as work on a multitude of smaller sites) for Code Environmental as a GPS technician, QA/QC, and management assistant. I have a year of class experience within the Rowan College of Engineering, and I believe this has helped shape me into a logical and methodical thinker. I am an Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts of America, and I highly value this honor. I spent the summer of 2014 working a paid internship as a scout and a research assistant at the Rutgers University Integrated Pest Management division. This internship gave me valuable experience with environmental fieldwork, and proved to test my abilities to work efficiently both on my own and with others in multiple settings. Before this internship I have worked for six summers as a lifeguard for American Pool Management, which required me to be CPR, First Aid, AED, and Lifeguard certified. The job itself involved interactions with patrons, managing the pool chemicals and pump systems, and executing proper procedures for first aid and saves if necessary.
