11+ years of directly supporting or managing the team responsible for over seeing the day to day activities of business critical applications and systems. These systems were responsible for allowing 20k+ client devices to allow Ontarian's to purchase, validate and redeem lottery tickets at retail stores, and online through the OLG iGaming website. During this period I directly supported a wide range of legacy internally developed applications and Commercial off the shelf software running on a wide variety of Operating Systems such as: AIX, OpenVMS, Linux and Windows Server 2003 and newer. My team and I were responsible for all Production deployments and installations across the Lottery Systems, utilizing internally built deployment processes as well as industry standard CI/Cd tools such as Digital.AI Release and Deploy, Octopus Deploy (CD), GitLab, TeamCity(CI) Jenkins, Maven, and others. Utilizing this experience I became one of the Lottery SME's as I've been one of the primary resources that handled the deployment of nearly all new lottery systems installed within the last decade at OLG. I have lead multiple Infrastructure updates to ensure that the Lottery Systems are always as up to date as possible. This has involved migrating from Windows to Linux for multiple applications, Linux Upgrades RHEL 7 to 9.4, java and JBoss upgrades. I also brought in and implemented one of the first CI/CD tools (Release/Deploy) at OLG and brought in Elasticsearch to facilitate better monitoring for multiple applications. I have experience with the following: MS SQL SAP Sybase ASE Elasticsearch, Kibana, Elastic-Agent, Elastic APM Python Dec Command Line (DCL) scripting Shell Scripting (bash, kornshell, powershell, etc) C Makefiles Multiple CI/CD tools (implemented from scratch or assume support) System Design with an eye to creating 'Continuously Available' applications Disaster Recovery Design and execution.
