Bryan Burgett has 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry in planning, negotiating, and structuring various transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. He has experience in acute care and specialty hospitals, ASCs, and corporate venture development. His background also includes experience in transactional law, healthcare regulation, corporate finance, financial modeling, and valuation. Prior to joining Navigant Consulting, for over nine years Mr. Burgett served as a Senior Vice President at Kaufman Hall & Associates LLC in its Mergers, Acquisitions & Partnerships Group. At Kaufman Hall, Mr. Burgett lead dozens health system transactions, including noteworthy business combinations such as UPMC and Susquehanna Health, Partners HealthCare and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Catholic Health Initiatives and Sylvania Franciscan Health, and Trinity Health and Saint Francis Care. Prior to that, Mr. Burgett was Vice President–Development for United Surgical Partners International, where he oversaw all acquisitions and new facility openings in the Midwest market. Prior to this, Mr. Burgett was Vice President of Corporate Development at National Surgical Care, where he played a key role in the acquisition of 15 surgery centers with an aggregate $120 million in deal consideration. Other prior positions include Vice President, Business Development and General Counsel for HearUSA, Inc. where he oversaw new facility openings and the $42 million acquisition of Helix Hearing Care, and Senior Manager in Kaiser Permanente’s corporate venture group, where he analyzed funding opportunities in start-up healthcare ventures and strategic alliances. Mr. Burgett is a licensed attorney with experience in healthcare transactions and regulation. Mr. Burgett has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, and a B.A. from Northern Illinois University.
