About Bryan C. Benjamin

Bryan leads Deloitte’s Finance Transformation (FT) practice for insurance and has an established track record of delivering improved financial integrity, risk management, operational effectiveness and efficiency. He advises financial institutions through complex transactions, reinsurance deals, financial reporting challenges, valuation issues and is uniquely positioned as an advisor to CFOs and their teams on a wide range of operational finance and capital markets topics. While Bryan is focused on the evolving needs and complexities of today’s insurance marketplace, his career has been strategically varied across asset management, banking, insurance and payments. Bryan is currently delivering multiple large-scale FT programs (SAP, Oracle, Workday) as well as targeted operational improvements in finance such as close process redesign, planning/budgeting/forecasting, external regulatory reporting and management analytics – leveraging tools such as Workiva, Blackline and Anaplan. As one of the firm’s go-to subject matter advisors for investments, Bryan is often engaged in middle and back-office process improvements, and has experience implementing platforms such as Aladdin and Clearwater. Earlier in his career, Bryan was the National Coordinator for Deloitte's Financial Instrument & Valuation specialist program. He managed Deloitte’s National Securities Pricing Center and its Derivatives & Hedging Advisory business for nearly eight years during this same time. Prior to that, Bryan was in Deloitte’s National Office where he interfaced with standard setters and regulators while developing Deloitte viewpoints and guidance around financial instruments, hedging, reinsurance, SSAP/NAIC/STAT, Solvency II, and RBC. Bryan has a BA in Accounting & Finance and an MS in Accounting/Financial Reporting, both from Michigan State University. He is a CPA in California, New York and New Jersey, a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Level CFA Candidate.
