About Bryan Dunn

Bryan Dunn practises in corporate/commercial law and M&A. Mr. Dunn’s experiences prior to joining DLA Piper includes 8 years with Davis LLP and 11 years prior to that with Clifford Chance, practising cross-border M&A and international business transactions, primarily in Asia and North America. Bryan has advised on a broad range of corporate / M&A transactions in Japan and elsewhere in the Asia pacific region since 1993 when he joined the Tokyo office of a major international law firm where he was the partner in charge of the corporate practice. His experience includes advising on- outbound M&A for Japanese corporations- inbound M&A for foreign corporations- cross-border joint ventures, alliances and other multi-jurisdictional investment structures- private equity investments both inbound and outbound- manufacturing and distribution- corporate restructurings, rationalizations and wind-ups in Japan and the Asia pacific region; and - general commercial advice to Japanese and non-Japanese corporations. Bryan is qualified to practice law in England and Canada and is a registered foreign attorney with the Japanese Bar Association. Bryan is recommended by Global Law Expert for M&A work in Japan. Bryan is fluent in Japanese, both written and spoken to a level which enables him to advise Japanese clients in the Japanese language. Bryan was an adjunct professor of law at Sophia University where he taught international business transactions from 2004-2006.
