Background
About Bryan Fox
Critical problem solving is the core of my collective employment history. I can see finished parts in blocks of steel, digging them out is fun for me. Most of my time in manufacturing was spent designing and machining tooling for a deep-draw and hydro-forming press facility. Reverse engineering parts to create tooling for new parts was my specialty, I once made an entire tool set to recreate fuel tank halves for a 1920 Henderson motorcycle. That particular project ended my time in manufacturing, as I came to the realization that there was a potential career path in my true passion and calling. Vintage motoring and motorcycles. I grew up in construction and excavation, surrounded by heavy equipment, trucks and motorcycles. There was always something running at the house, it was never quiet. Internal combustion. It started with a go-kart but quickly escalated to nitro Rc cars, atv's, snowmobiles and dirt bikes. Then rocketed into dirt bike motors in golf carts, corvette powered mud trucks, choppers, amphibious Atv's, V-8 jeeps, two-stroke Cafe racers, desert sled Triumphs, lowered Bmw's, aircooled VW's, hundred year old cars, trucks and motorcycles. I don't have a pulse, it's a firing order. I wandered into my local vintage european sports racing and restoration shop looking to feed my addiction, and got a job making parts for them part time. Then went full-time once they realized I could wrench. I spent my time restoring, servicing, racing and rebuilding cars that most gearheads would pay to see, Reverse engineering custom gearboxes, modifying engine blocks for more oil flow and stronger main caps, chassis set ups and alignments, rebuilding and tuning distributors and carburetors, loading and transporting cars to racing events, providing trackside support and repair services, four wheel chassis dyno service and tuning. My personal favorite was the 1932 Maserati 4cm, it had a wicked attitude and always kept me on my toes but I was drawn to any pre-war or brass era car that came through. I'm well versed in Ferrari Colombo V12s, Alfa Romeo, Coventry Climax, Maserati, BMC, ERA, Bugatti, Alta, Chevrolet, Ford, Cosworth, Lotus, early BMW and Porsche 4-cam motors and drivelines. Pre-war is my specialty, I can make any early iron run better than new. I've taken a step back from racing, the work was fun but the schedule was grueling and not conducive to family life. So I've taken a municipal position to follow in the footsteps of the happiest man I've ever known but cars will forever be my muse.
