About Bryan Jones
My passion for the art of making wine was born in the Defiance, Missouri area. Through visiting a good friend in that area I became exposed to the wine industry and saw that the lifestyle of folks working in vineyards was unique and rewarding. Realizing that my creativity and love for science and biology could be utilized in this career I pursued it by working locally in my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky at wineries for free. In 2002, I befriended Kentucky winemaker and consultant, John Pitcock, who took me on a decade long journey working in the vineyards and wineries in Central Kentucky. As time went on, I worked at four Kentucky vineyards and wineries as a volunteer and apprentice during those years which afforded me a substantial amount of experience as a Kentucky winemaker. In 2012, I ended up at Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery. I have spent the last 9 years there honing my skills and developing my own style of wine production. And today, I’m living the dream of working at an amazing 30 acre vineyard with a strong vineyard and production team.
