As the President of The Kocen Financial Group, I lead an investment advisory firm in Rancho Mirage, California, managing over $170 million in assets. Our team provides tailored financial strategies, from investment management to estate planning, with a commitment to long-term client success. When I founded The Kocen Financial Group in 1991, my goal was simple: create financial strategies that truly make sense. It’s never just about the numbers—it’s about people, their aspirations, and the paths that lead them there. Today, clients across the country rely on us for retirement planning, tax strategies, and business finance. My experience extends beyond financial services—I previously served as CFO at F Cubed LLC, an early-stage DNA detection company, where I honed my skills in investment structuring, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. What sets me apart? I understand that every client is at a different stage in their financial journey. Whether it’s a young family planning for college, a retiree focused on estate planning, or a business owner strategizing for growth, I tailor my advice to their unique needs. My job isn’t just about managing wealth—it’s about educating, guiding, and building lasting relationships based on trust. Beyond finance, I’m deeply committed to giving back. My involvement in the Boy Scouts of America spans decades, including serving as President of the California Inland Empire Council (2021-2023). Through the National Jewish Committee on Scouting, I’ve helped shape young leaders and provide mentorship opportunities. For nearly 30 years, I’ve also played an active role in the Jewish community, serving on various boards for The Jewish Federation of the Desert and receiving the Young Leader of the Year award in 1993. I’ve been a board member at Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, commissioning a Torah in 2023 to honor my late wife—a reflection of my commitment to faith and tradition. Outside of work, I love hiking, traveling, and immersing myself in different cultures. These experiences remind me that everyone has a story to share and a lesson to teach. I believe true success isn’t just measured by financial achievements but by the impact we make on others.
