Background

About Bryan M Harris

Hi, I'm Bryan, welcome to my profile! I am a dedicated advocate for aging populations in the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing over 32 years of experience in healthcare. For the past decade, I have been a leading voice in championing the rights of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans—ensuring they are heard at both the city and county levels. With expertise in policy development and advocacy, I have played a key role in shaping Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) measures, including the ranking and allocation of Ryan White funding across Contra Costa and Alameda counties. I also actively support and advance the California Master Plan on Aging, influencing policies that improve aging services at local and statewide levels. I specialize in organizing large-scale programs and events that engage thousands of professionals across various social service sectors. My work is rooted in equity and inclusion, ensuring diverse communities have access to essential resources, guidance, and support for long-term success. During my tenure with the Richmond Commission on Aging, I was appointed as the transportation chair, representing 14,700 registered seniors in Richmond with the support of the Advisory Council on Aging (ACOA). Recently, I was honored to serve as co-chair of the transportation committee for the Senior Mobility Action Council (SMAC), overseeing key transportation policies in Contra Costa County. In collaboration with Glydways, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, and the West Contra Costa Transportation Advisory Commission, I'm helping shape the development of the region’s first autonomous transportation network. My professional expertise includes project management, interpersonal communications, program development, and public speaking. Above all, I am passionate about creating meaningful pathways for seniors and aging populations—helping them lead independent, fulfilling lives while aging in place. Let’s connect and collaborate to drive positive change!(09JUN2025)
