About Bryan McElwee

Started my career at CACI in 1998 as a Systems Analyst, responsible for testing, requirements definition and analysis, documentation, and quality assurance on multiple systems and software development projects for Department of Defense clients. Served as Chair of a division-level Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) and gained early experience with CMM implementation and support. Following the release of CMMI in 2002, began to specialize in quality management, continuous process improvement, and CMMI-based consulting and appraisal support. After 10 years at CACI, spent a year as CMMI Implementation Lead at CGI Federal, as part of a Momentum implementation project for the EPA. Found my way to iPower LLC (Virginia) in 2009, starting as a consultant and CMMI subject matter expert for both government and commercial clients. Became a certified CMMI Instructor, Principal Consultant, and member of the iPower Program Management Office (PMO) in 2013. Project Management Professional (PMP) certified since 2015 with experience managing teams of 28 resources. Began supporting business development (BD) in 2017 with proposal writing and reviews, and subsequently proposal management. As of 2023, current roles include Senior Manager of Training Delivery, Program/Project Manager, Principal Consultant, CMMI Instructor and Candidate Lead Appraiser, ISO/IEC Lead Auditor, CMMC cybersecurity consultant (CCP), and Proposal Manager. Other current certifications include Six Sigma Black Belt and Change Management. To date, have supported over 50 commercial clients (including GDIT, Performant, Deloitte, ASRC Federal, etc.) and numerous federal agencies including the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts (AOUSC), NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC), Department of State, Department of Transportation, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
